There's an issue with Mike Miller's house in Scorn - the button on the bottom floor of the basement (in the room with the three chests) is supposed to give you a message hinting at what you're supposed to do, which is to push the heavy boulder on top of it, as it will only respond to one of the boulders in the room, specifically the heavy one.
For whatever reason, this message text does not display, so the only way to figure out the puzzle is to manually examine the boulders or notice one of them is named "heavy boulder" and figure out that it must be special (or to cheat and look at the map info).
Thanks for the report. Is there a hint that's built into the map but isn't triggered correctly, or is there no hint currently in the map?
After realizing once that an ordinary boulder doesn't work, a player can examine the button to get the required weight value and can click the boulders until they find the heavy one.
Map file is: maps/trunk/scorn/houses/house3.bas2
There's a message in the map file: "The button looks broken. You will need something heavy to activate it."
I have never seen this message anywhere on the map, whether I move onto the button, try to apply or examine the button, move the chest on the button (a treasure chest spawns on top of the button). As far as I can tell it's a message that's supposed to appear but isn't correctly being triggered?
It appears someone else also commented about this in the past at some point (unformatted text file, just do a search for Mike Miller).

I see. The hint was being added to the button message text. I moved it to a magic mouth in r20394 and should appear whenever a player steps on it.
Confirmed it appears in r20411.
