Ahh well, looks like I spoke too soon. Now I feel even more inadequate in the realm of Vim.... The quick and dirty override worked about as well in the long run as most quick and dirty fixes. It seems to work fine for the initially restored buffer, but opening any other recognized file type restores the (undesireable) default behaviour. The more aggressive solution (hack, maybe?) I found that seems to work consistently across the opening of files of many different types is including the line: let b:browsefilter="All Files\n*.*\t" just prior to the end of the Cream_filetype(...) function in cream_filetype.vim. I'm happy now at any rate, but I wouldn't be surprised if a better solution exists. Thanks again for your help. |
