If I understand Jarmo correctly, vampires are closer to living beings that other undead due the frequent infusions with fresh blood. This raised the following issue: should vampires behave different (intrinsic- and mutation-wise) whether they're hungry or not? Jarmo went that way but it might get too complicated. I like consistency very much, as you know. But I feel we're restricted by the undead rule set at this point. I'd like to argue that mutations require DNA which neither mummies (dessicated) nor ghouls (excavated corpses) can come up with. [I know this _is_ wrong: you can extract DNA from a mummy and from a very old corpse.] David |
