#19 CrashFix service is inactive

Hi, I just downloaded and installed CrashFix from this link to my Windows 10 machine
http://crashfix.sourceforge.net/doc/html/install_windows.html
When I launch the webapp on my localhost http://localhost/crashfix/index.php/site/admin
I got this error from General Tab
Error retrieving license information, because the daemon is inactive or not responding.
I also got this from the Daemon Tab
Daemon Status:
Error connecting to daemon.
But when check services running on my machine, I can see CrashFix Service is in running status
Do I need a license file? Is there anything I missed from the setup

I also had this problem and here's how I fixed it:

• close the crashfix service
• go to CrashFix\conf\crashfixd.conf and make sure WEB_ROOT_DIR points to the right location
• open an admin CMD and go to CrashFix\bin and type:
  crashfixd.exe --start -c ..\conf\crashfixd.conf
