This patch applies cleanly against cramfs-1.1.
It contains the original patch #646986 by Stéphane Fillod ( fillods ) from 2002-12-02 08:01:21 PST
The original patch did not swap bytes in the CRC

It has been tested on linux-x86 (little endian) host to
generate linux-ppc (big endian) cramfs images.
