I've subscribed to the cpu-users mailing list and sent a message last week, however it seems it didn't make to it.

Hi,
I've installed CPU 1.4.3 from Debian Sarge (testing) and I've been able to use it for adding users to the system, etc.
However CPU seems not to be getting the groups information (but the system is), and whenever I do 'cpu cat' I get the following message right after the users list:
CPU: ldapCat: ldap_search_st: No such object
The group '(null)' specified could not be found in the directory.
Make sure the group is valid and the correct base for the group has been
specified.
I'm trying to add a user to a group, but I get a somewhat similar error message:
nemo:~# cpu usermod -G audio carlosoliva
CPU: checkSupGroups: ldap_search_st: No such object
The user 'carlosoliva' specified could not be found in the directory.
Make sure the user is valid and the correct base for the user has been
specified.
Unable to find group audio, exiting
If I do a 'slapcat' I can see all the groups are there.
The user 'carlosoliva' indeed exists, as I can log in using it.
Here goes a copy of my cpu.conf file:
nemo:~# cat /etc/cpu/cpu.conf
# See cpu.conf(5) for documentation
