OK I removed the cppcms directory and untar-ed the tarball again. After I typed "cmake .." it ran mostly fine but I got a few lines of "Warning" and "Failed" messages: CMake Warning at /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/CPack.cmake:289 (message): CPack.cmake has already been included!! -- Performing Test BOOSTER_HAVE_GCC_BITS_EXCHANGE_AND_ADD - Failed -- Performing Test CPPCMS_HAVE_CPP0X_UXSTRING - Failed -- Performing Test CPPCMS_HAVE_CPP_0X_AUTO - Failed -- Performing Test CPPCMS_HAVE_CPP_0X_DECLTYPE - Failed Should I be worried about them? Then I ran "make" which seemed to run fine. "make test" passed 100% of the tests. So that's good. "make install" completed with no error. So apart from the "Warning" and "Failed" messages from cmake, the installation seems to have gone well. It does look like ICU was causing the problem. Unfortunately I need to deal with localization and UTF-8. So I guess I'd need ICU. Any ideas on how to make ICU work with cppcms? Simpler remove the cppcms directory and untar the tarball again and run cmake again. Related to ICU it is not mandatory.
