I am new to this tool. I am validating this tool for our product code validation.
I am referring this forum and provided documentation for this tool.
From this forum I got to know Cppcheck is supporting MISRA and cert rules/Addons.
Which meets my most of requirements.
But want to know as a user do I need separate license for using MISRA STDs and cert rules. OR its not required as tool itself got license to support same.
Please revert .
Thanks,
Vishal Rana
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
MISRA C is provided in open source cppcheck
MISRA C++ is under development and will be provided in premium cppcheck after the summer
CERT C is provided in premium cppcheck however it is not entirely finished yet.
CERT C++ will be provided later but I can't say when. The CERT C checkers makes sense on C++ code also.
You can contact sales@cppchecksolutions.com if you want to try out the premium cppcheck.

My code base is in C++. So I think currently CppCheck is not suitable for my requirement.
But already I have performed some experiments/tests using this tool. Its very easy to use and very good support is available.
I will recommend this tool to my other teams who are working on C.
Thanks,
Vishal Rana.
