It would be nice to use cppcheck as:

cppcheck @cppcheck.args ...

There are tons of options. Having them in a response-file would IMHO be nicer.

I am not sure. we don't add command line options just because somebody thinks that would be nice to have. the intention is that cppcheck interface should be KISS. as you say there are tons of options anyway but there could be more.
