Hmmm... I just thought about this one... Will the game have an end? Like
achieving the ultimate goal and then you are done. Or should it be an
ongoing thing with people gaining points but not reaching the end?

You could always do something like the old mud games. You attain the
level of master, through xp or whatever and then you become a creator /
administrator and start writing quests, offering help to other lesser
experienced players etc.
