Hi, we want to a Unit Test for our software. And we write some Unit Test cases for it by using CxxTest an auto-testing framework. Now, we want to know, our test cases code coverage for the software(code). Is there any opensource tool available for this .If the tools can be run together with CxxTest running? We work in GNU Linux , ECLISPE 3.2. With Regards, Anil Kumar H |

Hi, I am searching for a Tool to test the coverage of our sourcecode. We are using Windows and Visual Studio 6.0 for development. Can I use your tool CovTool in windows?? I read the readme and thought that must be the case, because you are using filenames ending with .exe, but now I see thats just a name you gave the binary, is it? however there is no rules file for windows and i wasnt able to compile your code until now. Is there a way using covtool with windows? Do you know of any other (free) tool that does coverage checks that works with windows? Thanks for any answer. Regards, Christoph |

Ritesh, You must use gmake to build covtool. It sounds like you are not. Your change to the makefile should probably work, but should not be necessary I think. Use of the normal /bin/make is your major problem, though. Sorry if this is a stupide question. I'am new to this list, ans since there is not archiving for covtool-users, I could not verify if you already discuss the subject. I installed covtool in a non-standard place on my machine becaus I'm not root and I dealing with the admin is not a possibility. I used the variable INSTALL_DIR to overide the standard path for covtool. When I compile, I get this kind of result: bash-2.05a$ cov++ -c -I/home/pirate/night_build/Pir/include jg_sommet_peau.cpp g++: No input files jg_sommet_peau.cpp:9:21: pgpos0d.h: No such file or directory jg_sommet_peau.cpp:10:21: pgpos1d.h: No such file or directory jg_sommet_peau.cpp:11:18: pgpt.h: No such file or directory Instrumentation code beginning:32:1: warning: null character(s) ignored As an test, if I don't use the -c, the input file is passed to g++ and it compiles but g++ tries to link, too, and of course this is not what I want. Is something wrong in what I do? Or in the script cov++? Thanks |
