[cone] cone without colors

Hello!

My cone clients (0.89-1) on two differnt machines stopped suddenly viewing colors. It's now all  
black/white/grey.
The terminal is still the same (screen-256color, xterm-256color), OS is  
Ubuntu 14.04.3.
I'm using tmux/screen. All the other colors are still ok, just cone is  
affected.
I just installed a fresh cone on a linux mint 17.3 machine. It's the same  
problem.
Is this some kind of easter^X-Mas-egg?
