I have successfully configured, installed and tested authlib one time, using a restricted configuration. I now need to re-configure it for production use, but I am running into a problem for which I can find no help When I now run the configure script for courier-authlib-0.58, I get the following output (and failure of the script): ./configure[25709]: .: conftest2.out: not found conftest2.out *is* in the directory where I am running the configure script. Here are the file details $ ls -al conftest* -rw-r--r-- 1 bisi bisi 277 May 2 08:34 conftest.out -rw-r--r-- 1 bisi bisi 61 May 2 08:34 conftest2.out bisi is a regular user I am using to config and compile the programs (per the instructions in courier-IMAP/INSTALL.html document). This error occurs no matter what the ./configure options & variables are. here's the original config command line (formatted to avoid word-wrap issues) $ ./configure --with-gnu-ld \ --with-db=gdbm \ --without-authpam \ --without-authldap \ --without-authvchkpw \ --without-authshadow \ --with-mailuser=courier \ --with-mailgroup=courier In order to get the program to configure the first time, I had to set CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS (since the OBSD package puts the gdbm libraries outside the gcc search paths). Here are the settings for those env vars: CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include KSH_VERSION='@(#)PD KSH v5.2.14 99/07/13.2' LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/lib I have also removed the source directory and started from scratch, with no change in the results. That is, I removed the courier-authlib-0.58 directory, and then untarred the source files from the tarball, and re-ran the configure script running the configure script as the superuser makes no difference I have tried with both the default Korn shell, and Bash. I have installed no other software since I first compiled authlib. I ran into this problem immediately after I finished testing authlib and then tried to run the configure script with a less restrictive set of options. I have put a copy of the config.log at the address below, along with the other 5 files created by the ./configure script, run without any options or variable assignments. http://members.shaw.ca/courier-files/ Any guidance welcome! ===== Appendix ===== The OS is a freshly-installed version of OpenBSD 3.8 with no modifications (errata not yet patched). I have added a few packages (like gdbm).
