Hi again! Now as I have Courier IMAP running with XMail, I'd like to make it more comfortable. For now, I have to add a user to the IMAP-usertable additionally to the user account creation at XMail. Also, when an user changes his password in Xmail, this does not apply to the Courier users table. I know little about how Authlib works, but what I read is that it can use textfile databases. Now, XMail does have a textfile containing all users. It's the file 'mailusers.tab' and it contains one line for each user: "domain"[TAB]"username"[TAB]"passwd"[TAB]"id"[TAB]"dir"[TAB]"type"[NEWLINE] Where "domain" is the domain (as 'foo.org'), "username" is the account name (as 'webmaster'), "passwd" is an encrypted password (can't tell yet how it is encrypted), "id" is a unique integer, "dir" is the users home directory and "type" is "U" for users and "M" for mailing lists. My question now is: Wouldn't it be possible to have Courier IMAP authorize a user with that file? Cheerz, Dennis |
