#136 CotVNC sometimes crashes when host wakes from sleep
If I have CotVNC sessions up when my host goes to sleep, CotVNC doesn't like trying to communicate with those sessions on waking. LAN connections seem to reconnect fine, connections over the VPN -- even after the VPN has re-established connection -- are sure to crash CotVNC, typically on the first mouseover.
After you get a crash, open the Console program in /Applications/Utilities and select console messages on the left (if it's not already selected). Do you see a line with something like:
([0x0-0x189b89a].com.geekspiff.chickenofthevnc[47842]) Exited abnormally: Broken pipe

Chicken of the VNC has not seen any development in many years, but there is a fork which fixes the "Broken pipe" bug as well as many others:
