This seems to be a common feature request, so I'm going to
point all the duplicates at this one and close them.
Here's where I'd like to go with this. I'd like to add a
tab to the Profiles dialog that allows full key command
customization. It will contain a table view with all menu
commands and their keyboard shortcut when
a) there are no active connections
b) there are windowed connections
c) there is a fullscreen connection
Selecting a row of this table view will allow the user to
change (or remove) any of the key commands for these three
cases.
Once this is done, the following will become possible:
Normal key command's are hooked up when connections aren't
open.
Customize the key command used to enter/exit full-screen mode
Allow cmd-H and cmd-tab from full-screen mode.

This has been implemented in the GEN_2_GUI branch in CVS. If you're
comfortable pulling a branch from CVS and compiling, you may wish to
try it out.
