[Cotson-users] New hardware implementation using COTSon

Hey All,

I have some questions about using COTSon for implementing an accelerator
along side with the network interface card.

1. If I want to implement an accelerator which work along side with the NIC
, is it possible to design its timing model. Is COTSon a cycle accurate
simulator? If it is not, how is the accuracy of the timing model compared
with a cycle accurate simulator?

2. Along with the above question. How flexible is to change some hardware
features (micro-architectural) inside the SimNow simulator?

2. And also while I am able to get COTSon/Noxim simulator working, I found
the TCP/IP simulated network cumbersome. Is it possible to design a light
weight messaging technique for communication across nodes. I know there is
something called "messaging" in one of the COTSon branch. I am not sure
weather I can extend that.
