TITLE: Quitting in the Middle Resets pointers
I've reported this before, but I think the result was that no one could
duplicate it. Today I was logged on to nlztest, reading along in
gripes/enhance at about #1090 when I got mail. I did a MA UNREAD, read
the message, and did the following:
>Read/action:del
>M:j
>Checking for conference activity.
>Joining gripes/enhance 1105 new messages.
>R:
>
>[> gripes/enhance #1 al 74 09Feb01 15:46 O=0 N=0 C=2
>Use this topic for suggesting possible enhancements to TCoSy
>beyond BIX.
Imagine my surprise when I was back at Message #1 in gripes/enhance!
<sigh>

Unable to replicate, so I'm going to downgrade it to a '5' until more information is available.
Meanwhile, lwilton has pointed out an allied bug: If one issues a mail q from the R: prompt, one is sent to
the : prompt, but still reading the topic. Attempting to comment produces an odd message about message
pointers being saved. A specific join con/pic appears to restore things to normal.
