Yes, I was watching the traffic with Wireshark, but Contiki, the Raven and Wireshark is all new for me. After removing the TCP/IP v4, the Raven USB interface no longer shows this long delay. The network interface is "available" after approx 3 to 4 seconds now, that's really an improvement. I will follow up your other hints and look into your pcaps files tomorrow. Note the AAAA lookups in my pcap. Vista tries very hard to find microsoft servers, bless its little heart. http://blog.tiensivu.com/aaron/archives/1509-Why-www.msftncsi.com-keeps-showing-up-in-firewall-logs-with-Vista-and-why-it-can-cause-problems-with-internet-captive-portals-and-WiFi-hot-spots.html http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766017%28WS.10%29.aspx ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Kopf" <da...@em...> To: "Rolf Diermann" <Rol...@de...>; "contiki developer mailing list" <con...@li...> Sent: Friday, March 19, 2010 11:54 AM Subject: Re: [Contiki-developers] Problems running Contiki 2.4 Demo forAtmel Raven and SICSlowpan under Windows Vista > Hi Rolf, > > That delay doesn't happen for me.
