Run the included .cap. Press esc to bring up the pause menu. Press esc again after 300ms to make it disappear. That works.

Try pressing esc to bring up the pause menu again, and this time left click the mouse anywhere. The menu disappears as normal, but this time when you press esc the layout won't appear. Press it one more time, and then it appears.

The debugger claims a pauselayout object is created, but for some reason is deleted instantly. Also, it doesn't happen here, but in the game this was from, it pauses, the modal layout doesn't appear, the area it covers is blacked out, and it still responds to pressing the mouse button, but not esc.

When debugging, after clicking the mouse at the pause screen to close it and then pressing esc it claims: Debugger first time message: Expression 'Count': no 'pauselayout' objects exist: returning 0 even thought the debugger lists the number of instances at 1.
