I have messed a little bit with Construct and started to create my project looked at the tutorials the beginner ones, all my .cap files were working perfectly.
But for some reason I started to get C++ runtime errors after downloading the "Camera ease in and out.cap", I had this problem before with the same version the 99.62... After it I tried to run a number of other cap files but they failed too. ( They are as follows: CustomGravity something requested by a userin the forum, RTSzaaephod, FOVengine and now I can't even run the quickguide to python scripting too or any cap for that matter. )
The Error massage:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
path... D:\Working Archive! -!DO NOT ENTER!-\Engines\Construct\Construct.exe
abnormal program termination
That's all that is says... I tried to run the Ghost shooter tutorial ( demo ) and it fails 50% of the time... but after playing it for a minute or two...
all other cap files fail instantly... with the same error.
Uhm... I must apologize, but I stumbled on a way to fix this problem my self, have a habbit of placeing my nose where it does not belong... um it's on a 32 bit XP windows.
I solved the problem by uninstalling contruct and going head for a good clean install with no other files of the old install left. After the install I downloaded and updated my DirectX with a new version! http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3 ! after that all applications cap files and so on are working top notch... and for some reason the link is dead (hardly) here's a bit more info of the DirectX: DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer v: 9.29.1962
and Ihave no idea why my problem was stated twice ><, but if it was me... excuseme ^^
