The interface consists of a number of static pages simply linked together. At least a smaller tab-style navigation would significantly improve usage experience. Besides I'd love a nicer look too.
navigation bar size and element positions are known to vary between different browsers, even the same browser (i.e. FireFox) in different operating systems
report please, if seriously broken, but otherwise consider this a feature of the system/browser of your choice, to show a certain degree of (non-)conformance to web standards
Speaking open about the subject of HTML/CSS coding: I'm tired about all the obviously quite different web standard interpretations by browsers in use today. So I'm not able nor willing to spend time on the subject as long as the usability is not seriously diminished. After all it's just about a nice the Navigation, not about good or poor probe performance.

BTW: Please turn off graph switching on mouse-over. It is fairly annoying when you have to carefully navigate your mouse around the thumbnails. On click would be sufficient and would improve usability.

Reopened for testing alternative design.
I'll will preserve the formerly given low priority, however accept that my preferred mouse navigation "OnMouseOver" may distract others. This will be changed first.

Can you please reopen this ticket?
How abou using an existing free CSS? You can avoid a lot of harsh coding and running into compatibility issues. Pick some that you like from http://www.cssdrive.com/ or use the nice "Delicious Blue" that we have on our data collection server: http://www.ex-designz.net/template/tempdetail.asp?temp_id=336
It's XHTML and tableless and fairly easy to use.
