As mentioned, I am using Mandrake 9.1.

With verbose on I get:

As myself:
bash: ../devel/dist/bin/cg.sh: /bin/sh: bad interpreter: Permission denied

As root:
/bin/sh: -^M: invalid option

Usage:  /bin/sh [GNU long option] [option] ...
        /bin/sh [GNU long option] [option] script-file ...
GNU long options:
        --debug
etc....
