ComputerInformer is a program that is meant for those that know little or nothing about how a computer operates. It is a great program that can give basic information for a tech support call, either to the manufacturer or family member.

As of now ComputerInformer will only work with Windows 32 bit systems. 64 bit compatibility is currently being worked on.

We are also aware of a bug on the ClipBoard tab.

Version 1.0

The General Info tab shows:

• The Status of the caps lock key
• Your computer name
• What version of Windows your system is running
• The username of the current user logged in
• The total amount of RAM
• The amount of available RAM in real time

The Clipboard Info tab shows:

• If text or a picture is on the clipboard *We are aware of the issue with the clipboard info section. This will be corrected in the next version*
• The actual text or image on the clipboard is shown

The Software Versions tab shows:

• If Internet Explorer is installed and what version
• If Mozilla Firefox is installed and what version (currently does not work on 64 bit systems)
• If Chrome is installed and what version(currently does not work on 64 bit systems)
• If Flash is installed and what version(currently does not work on 64 bit systems)
• If Shockwave is installed and what version (This is a work in progress)
• If Adobe Reader is installed and what version (currently does not work on 64 bit systems)

Version 2.0

This version is a redo of the User Interface. For now may features have been removed, but will be added back at a later date.

Version 2.0 has the following features:

• Computer Name
• Ip Address (to be implemented at a later date)
• Status of the capslock, number lock and scroll lock keys in real time
• A text box to test to see if the keyboard is working
• total memory installed
• Amount of memory available in real time
