using invoice line as an example...
If I click on the right hand side of the qty field it
brings up the calcalator. In this field I can use the
number keypad to enter (say) 110/1.1 and immediately
get an answer of 100
If I move to the Price field and bring up the
calculator it displays 0.00. Before I can use the
calculator I have to use the mouse to clear out the
0.00 before I can enter (say) 110/1.1
This is irritating as I use the price field all the
time to derive the pretax price to enter in an Invoice
(Vendor) line when the supplier document only shows the
tax inclusive price.
thanks...

You are right, the current behaviour is quite annoying...

On some systems I am familiar with in the UK there is an
option when entering Supplier Invoices to specify that I am
entering tax inclusive prices, then the system does the tax
gross to net calc for you.
Not relevant to your calculator suggestion but might be a
better solution to your problem?

Graham, I agree but the less work in an RFE hopefully means
a greater chance of fitting it in with other development
priorities ;-)
I would just like to be able to hit the 'equals' key (which
already invokes the calculator) and just enter the numbers
without having to clear out the 0.00 first.
Also, if the system costing precision is defined as 4
character after the decimal point, should the calculator
return/display a value in the Price field with that
precision rather than the 12 digits shown at present?
Probably only cosmetic..

Yes ! We should definitely have the ability to navigate and
edit in the list view with the keyboard only.

Originator: NO
uses the value in the field when the calculator is initially brought up
