Currently aiming for sometime between now and Christmas. It's a pretty big release, and I need to get my honours thesis completed in the next month or so - hence why things have been quiet.

just thought you might like to know what im working on for probable / posible inclusion in the next release.. feel free to add comments on each or any of these (these are largely in addition to the things listed here http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=143354&atid=755240\)
A method for preventing commment spam. ive developed two ways of doing this - captcha's (which im personally not a fan of,) and manual aproval. both of these will be optional so you can use nither , one of them or both
for manual aproval you will get an email each time a comment is added which will give the details and the auther - you will also have a quick link to enable all comments from that email address, just this comment or to delete it.
skinning - I'm working on a quick method to change the appearance of the site - this will also incorporate some caching into the templates
statistics - a couple of people have asked me to realease my stats modules - so im tidying them up and removing all the embarrasing bits.
easier module deployment - it should be possible to do this over http - ie clicking a link will grab a new (or updated module)from a central server and install it auto matically - this will save messing around with ftp
tagging - as an alternative to a post being in one topic, you should be able to tag it with a number of keywords and browse by them

iamdecal, you've read my mind. I hadn't checked the comments in the olders posts of my blog, but when I did, I found over 2000 comment spam posts. I'd love to test out your module.
