-SimpleBlog 1.2.1/AT 1.3 I can happily confirm that this hack to Archetypes/utils.py fixes the http://paste.plone.org/1699 error with SimpleBlog.
This TypeError was popping up quite often on any post I tried to edit that exited in a folder with categories.
