Thanks for the quick response. I have tried accessing document/version_history_page, but keep getting an AttributeError on repository. This is on a fresh plone site, no archetypes, unchanged cvs checkout of CMFEditions from today and collective CMFUid and ZopeVersionControl. All I have done is install CMFEditions from the portal control panel. Traceback follows. thanks, Laurence Traceback (innermost last): Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 101, in publish Module ZPublisher.mapply, line 88, in mapply Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 39, in call_object Module Shared.DC.Scripts.Bindings, line 306, in __call__ Module Shared.DC.Scripts.Bindings, line 343, in _bindAndExec Module Products.CMFCore.FSPageTemplate, line 191, in _exec Module Products.CMFCore.FSPageTemplate, line 124, in pt_render Module Products.PageTemplates.PageTemplate, line 96, in pt_render - <FSPageTemplate at /plone/versions_history_form used for /plone/index_html> Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 189, in __call__ Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 233, in interpret Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 670, in do_useMacro Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 233, in interpret Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 408, in do_optTag_tal Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 393, in do_optTag Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 388, in no_tag Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 233, in interpret Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 701, in do_defineSlot Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 233, in interpret Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 408, in do_optTag_tal Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 393, in do_optTag Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 388, in no_tag Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 233, in interpret Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 649, in do_defineMacro Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 233, in interpret Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 693, in do_defineSlot Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 233, in interpret Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 721, in do_onError_tal Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 233, in interpret Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 408, in do_optTag_tal Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 393, in do_optTag Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 388, in no_tag Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 233, in interpret Module TAL.TALInterpreter, line 483, in do_insertText_tal Module Products.PageTemplates.TALES, line 227, in evaluateText Module Products.PageTemplates.TALES, line 221, in evaluate - Line 10, Column 4 - Expression: <PythonExpr here.portal_versions.saveAsNewVersion(here)> - Names: {'container': <PloneSite instance at 4172fef0>, 'context': <Document at /plone/index_html>, 'default': <Products.PageTemplates.TALES.Default instance at 0x40b25f0c>, 'here': <Document at /plone/index_html>, 'loop': <SafeMapping instance at 41945310>, 'modules': <Products.PageTemplates.ZRPythonExpr._SecureModuleImporter instance at 0x40b0edac>, 'nothing': None, 'options': {'args': ()}, 'repeat': <SafeMapping instance at 41945310>, 'request': <HTTPRequest, URL=http://idea13:4080/plone/index_html/versions_history_form>, 'root': <Application instance at 414d1e60>, 'template': <FSPageTemplate at /plone/versions_history_form used for /plone/index_html>, 'traverse_subpath': [], 'user': manager} Module Products.PageTemplates.ZRPythonExpr, line 47, in __call__ - __traceback_info__: here.portal_versions.saveAsNewVersion(here) Module Python expression "here.portal_versions.saveAsNewVersion(here)", line 1, in <expression> Module Products.CMFEditions.VersionTool, line 351, in saveAsNewVersion Module Products.CMFEditions.VersionTool, line 101, in _getVersionRepository AttributeError: repository Vincenzo Di Somma wrote: > Hi, > it should work fine out of the box, the only thing you have to configure > is a new action that shows the versions page on the portal types you > like more. > > vds > > > On Mon, 2004-11-29 at 16:31 +0000, Laurence Rowe wrote: > >>Hi, >> >>I've downloaded CMFEditions and it's dependencies, but now I'm stuck. >>How do you actually use the thing?
