Hi. I have a problem of installing postgres in coLinux. I use debian image downloaded from coLinux site, 1.6 GB. When I try to perform `apt-get install postgresql`, the postgresql-7.4 package is downloaded and the installation fails when configuration starts. Here is installation log (w/o package downloading ): colinux:~# apt-get install postgresql Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done postgresql is already the newest version. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 114 not upgraded. 2 not fully installed or removed. Need to get 0B of archives. After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be used. Setting up postgresql-7.4 (7.4.12-3) ... Error: cluster configuration already exists dpkg: error processing postgresql-7.4 (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of postgresql: postgresql depends on postgresql-7.4; however: Package postgresql-7.4 is not configured yet. dpkg: error processing postgresql (--configure): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: postgresql-7.4 postgresql E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) By the way, I tried to build postgres from sources, and had to install gcc. Compiler installation also failed with the same error of postgres configuration. I apologize for silly question, I'm a newbie in Debian and in coLinux.
