It not that ugly. :) voyage linux is a read only file system. This make it safe for compact Flash installs. I've used it with real hardware and not seen the login issue. /rw/ is the read / write portion of the file system. On boot up this is copied from the ro file system. I'll compare securetty from the debian Install. The only change should be the path. The long process whould be to take the debian coLinux build and turn it into Voyage linux read only file system. I can live with the querk for a little while. I think the next think I'll try is killing the getty just after boot up. I think it's a timing issue. The system boot very fast, 6 seconds. If I login as a user and logout, respawn the getty, I can login as root. I'll continue to post what I find.
