Hi, I used to use colinux for a while but stopped. Now I've returned... I dualboot my machine. My native linux installation uses EVMS and encryption. I also run Win2k. I tried both the stable colinux 0.6.3 and Henry Nestler's 0.7.1 release. When I added the diskmapper & AES encryption parts (using gcc 3.4.5 on gentoo), I experienced some strange stuff. I was able to boot linux in through colinux, but things that requried heavy i/o (on the encrypted partiton) would cause colinux to become unresponsibe (with no cpu usage). For example, just doing an "emergy sync" would do it in... I don't believe the console window shows any messages/warnings. Has anyone experienced this? Or should I not be using the disk mapper (evms) stuff and/or the encryption in colinux? Thanks -Alex |
