I noticed that debian sarge net install no longer works with coLinux stable (I tried several 0.6.3-x version, pre13, rc2, rc4, etc). I'm pretty sure that it's something that has changed in the debian installer or debian packages/programs and not something that has change in coLinux. I didn't experience the crash/shut-down that you experienced, but I did get to a point where not matter what I tried I was not able to complete the install (finally gave up and just 'upgraded' the existing debian images from SF)... I the problem I ran into was during the kernel install and the mkinitrd that's part of that (I even tried stuff like putting the initrd=3DNo in the appropriate mkinitrd/kernel config files on the installer fs and on the target fs and I wasn't able to install). I believe the error I ran into was that the coLinux device wasn't being considered an block device by the mkinitrd... :( Again I didn't see the crash that you where talking about, but then I was using the Debian stable installer with the coLinux stable versions.
