Does anyone know what has changed in CoLinux that makes it require Administrator privileges? Up until CoLinux 0.6.1 I have been successfully running CoLinux as a service under the built-in NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService account. Starting with CoLinux 0.6.2, networking doesn't work unless the CoLinux service is running with Administrator privileges. While it is true that you need Administrator privileges to install colinux as a service or to run it from the command line (due to the fact that you're installing a device driver - namely linux.sys ), you should be able to successfully run the CoLinux service under non-Administrative account. It worked before, so it should be possible for it to work again. And Mitch, there is no reason for you to be rude - Sarah's issues are completely reasonable.
