Codex Skin is an independent third-party customization tool for Codex Desktop. Browse curated themes, compare previews, copy a six-digit theme ID, and apply or switch themes from inside a normal Codex task through the free, open-source Codex Skin Plugin.
The workflow includes browser-based device approval, signed theme-package verification, compatibility checks, and rollback when an application cannot be confirmed. An offline Restore path lets users return to the official Codex appearance without login, network access, active Pro access, or the Plugin cache.
Codex Skin does not modify the official application bundle or read and upload prompts, conversations, project files, source code, tokens, cookies, screenshots, or absolute local paths. Codex Skin is an independent third-party project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
