CocoDonkey loses the connection to mldonkey, no further
update of cocodonkey data.
mldonkey continues working in background, restarting
cocodonkey is possible.

Could you be more specific ? What kind of connection to the
daemon do you use: local, ssh or telnet ? After how much
time ? Can you activate the log in the preferences and send
    the log (/tmp/cocodonkey.console) to cocodonkey@bigfoot.com ?
    thanks.

when connecting to a mldonkey on another machine the connection (to
mldonkey) always seems to break after a few minutes ... but you don't
notice it until you look into the mldonkey preferences window and see
the question marks instead of the actual bandwidth limits - also in the
log you see a "q" and "Closing Connection" ... so did CocoaDonkey quit
the connection on its part? why, and why wasn't the user informed that
the connection is no longer active?
