my spiffy new macbook pro is on the way (well, as soon as they start shipping anyway). Will I be able to run my beloved CocoaMySql natively anytime soon? Does it compile?

I will try to compile it with Intel support. There is a modified version on http://theonline.org/cocoamysql which is supposed to be an universal binary. Please post your experiences with this version here to help us because I have no Intel Mac yet to do testing...

First thanks to the programers and all the time they spend working on it.
I have just switch to a new MacbookPro and its not working well on that plattform which makes me very said, because it was just the right tool for me and I like to work with it.
When I look at a table some of the datafields (eg. varchar) are shown (and exported) with "NULL" but there are definitly not, the same database from my 'old' Powerbook is ok, no problems at all.
Both Mac's are running 10.4.10, using the same connection to the webserver (MySQL 5.0.32), both use the same local server versions (MySQL 5.0.19 from MAMP package), so I think it must be an Intel problem.
I have also tried the CocoaMySQL-SBG version which has crashed several times while importing a sql dump, I can not change the preferences, once set you can change and press "save" but nothing happens, or it produces a lot of errors when I import a dump (a lot of default values are set to "not null" but why?)
Any ideas?

Thanks for your quick responce. I am using version 0.7b5 on both PowerPC and Intel. The database is a Joomla CMS database, the fields which occur on the Intel machine as "NULL" are eg. the headlines of the content items (varchar, length 100, default not null).
Here comes the strange thing which I found out last night:
some of the texts contain a "-" like in "dutch-german...", but only some of these datasets are displayed as null on the Intel, the others I could see even with the "-". And if the field contains a german "Umlaut" I could not see them at all on the Intel Mac.
If I replace/delete these characters in CocoaMySQL on the PowerPC they apear all on the Intel machine afterwards...
Any ideas?
Thanks again for your help.
Joerg

Not sure why this happens. What version of CocoaMySQL are you using? Have you tried the newest beta from http://cocoamysql.sourceforge.net/beta.php?
