Cobber Linux (Cobber for short) is a Debian based distribution designed for Australia, New Zealand, and their neighbouring (South Pacific) nations.
The intent behind Cobber is to create and distribute a top class FREE operating system to people in these countries who want a choice but also to give people who cannot afford the latest propriety system. It must be easy to install and use so it will come with settings and locales for easy installation of language packs (currently only en_AU as there is no known en_NZ or native translations for Linux) and a choice of desktop environments to suit individual tastes and hardware.
Australian releases will be
