my questions may seem ridiculous, but i have to be sure of those things: what do HMMs represent exactly? Words? parts of words? And what about the states of the HMMs? Do they represent a precise entity, as phonemes, triphones, etc?
If someone has a clear explanation, I must confess that i would of a great help to me...
