As some of you may know, IBM recently discontinued support for its commercial Linux speech SDK. xvoice (xvoice.sourceforge.net) is an X-based UI built on top of the IBM SDK. We are uneasy with our dependence on a system that is no longer supported, and are hoping to move to using Sphinx.
None of us really know much about Sphinx, though we are willing to learn. I was hoping that some Sphinx developers might be interested in potentially helping get xvoice to use the Sphinx-2 engine. Would there be any interest in that? I am sure you guys could do a much better and faster job than we could -- and you'd get our user base in return :)
