The English-US acoustic model that comes with the PocketSphinx package is released under a permissive license. But I read at the VoxForge site that most acoustic model which are used by open source speech recognition projects are based on recordings and transcriptions which are, by themselves, closed-source and have restrictive lisense.
So:
1. Do the materials which was used to create the English acoustic model for PocketSphinx have restrictive license? If yes -
2. What are the implications? May I use the PocketSphinx acoustic model in commercial projects?
