I have successfully installed sphinxbase and pocketsphinx on linux, but when I
run pocketsphinx_continous there is warning, Warning: Could not find Mic
element.
I went through the forums and tried following command pocketsphinx_continuous
-adcdev default
but the warning persists, and program halts at 'Ready'.
I also installed libasound2 and oss-compat but no good.
Will you please guide me to run pocket sphinx. I am on ubuntu 10.04.
Also could you please point me as how to install sphinxbase with alsa support?
like what command and when.
I would greatly appreciate any help.
Regards,
Paras.

You might selected wrong audio device. Alsa configuration could have multiple
devices configured instead of default.

For Ubuntu it's recommended to download pocketsphinx and sphinxbase snapshots
and compile them with pulseaudio support. To do that you need to install
pulseaudio development package. You can find the message about detection of
the pulseaudio in the configure log.
