Hi,
I am wandering if any of you guys can tell me
if I can build and use Sphinx 2 under Win XP and if so, could you point me to some links
that describe the compilation process.

  Hi,
  
  I managed this using cygwin
  ( http://www.cygwin.com ). This runs under XP as well.
  
  With cygwin you get all the UNIX tools to build Sphinx.
  
  Having installed cygwin follow the description in the INSTALL file.
