Hi,
I am looking at tools for constructing pronunciation rules for unknown words. So far I have successfully used the methods in freetts:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/cmusphinx/forums/forum/382337/topic/3582401? message=9115293
and the online lmtool at http://www.speech.cs.cmu.edu/tools/lmtool- new.html
My questions are:
Does the new lmtool use the logios pronounce tool to create pronunciations for missing words?
Is there source code available for the logios pronounce tool?
If not, is there a MacOS binary? There only appear to be Windows and Linux binaries: https://cmusphinx.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/cmusphinx/trunk/logios/Tools/MakeDict/bin/
Is there any difference in logic between the pronounce tool and the freetts methods, i.e. would they produce significant differences in results?

I have the same questions. If you have found the answers, can you please share it?
Bests, Amin
You are recommended to use phonetisaurus instead
http://code.google.com/p/phonetisaurus/
Thanks for the recommendation of phonetisaurus - it looks good! I have written a blog post with details on using it to create Sphinx dictionaries:
http://trulymadlywordly.blogspot.com/2011/05/using-freetts-and-phonetisaurus- for.html
which includes a wrapper script for post-processing the output into the right format for Sphinx.
