CFG_WAVFILE_SRATE variable missing in sphinx_train.cfg

The variable definitions of
$CFG_WAVFILE_SRATE
$CFG_NUM_FILT
$CFG_LO_FILT
$CFG_HI_FILT

is missing in sphinx_train.cfg as referenced in the tutorial at: http://cmusphinx.sourceforge.net/wiki/tutorialam.

Has these declarations/assignments been moved to another config file? Which one?

You need to use snapshot version, not a release
