What would it take to develop portuguese models for pocketsphinx? I've checked the current language models built for pocketsphinx and I don't see portuguese. We are getting a substantial number of requests for a version of our PromptSmart mobile app (https://promptsmart.com) to support foreign languages, particularly portuguese.
I'm wondering what the barriers are to getting something like this ready to deploy. If access to Brazilian portuguese speakers is the problem, I may have the ability to connect the right people to make this possible.

Awesome, thanks again. We have an in-house PhD and language expert that is curious to evaluate the Portuguese data.
Is it publicly available? If so, where should I direct him? He will be devoting some time to this over the weekend. Depending on his evaluation, we may be interested in building the models to then deploy in our mobile apps.

The barrier is the time of the developer who will do the job. The data is not a problem, there is plenty of data around.
Thanks, Nickolay. How much time would something like this take?
Couple of months
