I am not part of the CMU Sphinx programmers, but I had this issue before. It's saying that the binary is missing because it's probably really missing, if you want to do force alignment you have to download and compile sphinx 3, and then copy the binary "sphinx3_align" in your sphinxtrain installation folder, it should be your-sphinxtrain-installation-directory/libexec/sphinxtrain

When running sphinxtrain with the VTLN (and forced alignment)? at some point (Module 12) the sphinx3_align binary is missing.
Will it suffice to build sphinx3? If so, with which sphinxbase version?

trunk version for both sphinxbase and sphinxtrain is preferable
