I am a novice to CMU Sphinx and SphinxTrain. I wanted to try creating an
acoustic model of my own. All tuts point to using perl scripts. Not a single
for elaborating the use of SphinxTrain executables.
Please someone either point me to relevant link or provide me the information
to use these executables.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The best way to use executables is to run the perl scripts. You can install
ActivePerl for that. For more details see the tutorial

I think Maq-int was reffering to the Win 32 Sphinxtrain executables here
