Hi,
Somehow the ./configure script can't find, or looks for wrong things for my version, which is sphinxbase-0.4.1.
the error line is "config.status: error: cannot find input file: sphinxbase.pc.in".

Well, that is certainly strange, since the file sphinxbase.pc.in is present in the sphinxbase-0.4.1 package.
Perhaps you don't have pkg-config installed?
You might also want to install ALSA libraries so you can have audio input.
D o i have to install sphinxbase in order to use sphinx3 with python?
