You dictionary is encoded with UTF-16, it must be UTF-8.

While this word is present in the dictionary too.

No, it should be missing from the dictionary. Probably some UTF-8 difference or simply a typo.

"Do cases match?" What does it mean.

It asks you to check the case match between the dictionary and transcription. In Roman alphabet letters could be lowercase or uppercase.
