I got the WER for the phoneme recognition for AN4 in PocketSphinx as 28.1.
In HTK, I guess I have made no error in the process, but got Accuracy as 57.75 or WER as 42.43.
Can you please comment on the difference of the WER coming for the same set of database from two systems.

Phoneme error rate is abbreviated as PER, not WER.
An4 is a demo database, the PER you get on it is meaningless because the database is too small.
HTK and pocketsphinx use similar algorithms, but parameters are different. If you match everything, error should be idential.
